Privacy Policy
The short version: ReactScore has no accounts, keeps your scores in your own browser, and does not sell your data. The long version is below.
Last updated 31 May 2026
This policy explains what information ReactScore (“we”, “us”) collects when you use reactscore.com and what we do with it. By using the site you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
We deliberately collect as little as possible.
- Your test scores and settings are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device (for your personal best, streaks and theme choice). This never leaves your device and we cannot read it from our servers.
- No account data. ReactScore has no sign-up, so we do not collect your name, email or password unless you choose to email us.
- Aggregate, anonymous statistics. If you opt in, an anonymised reaction-time result may be added to our public averages. It contains no information that identifies you.
- Standard server logs. Like any website, our host records basic request data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability. These logs are kept only as long as needed and are not used to build a profile of you.
2. Cookies and analytics
To understand how the site is used, we use Google Analytics, which sets cookies and collects standard usage data such as the pages you visit, your approximate location (from your IP address, which Google truncates), device and browser type, and how you move through the site. This helps us see which tools are useful and where to improve. You can opt out across all sites with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.
3. Advertising
ReactScore may display ads to keep the tools free. When advertising is enabled:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
- If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we will ask for your consent before any non-essential advertising cookies are set, in line with applicable law, and you can change your choice at any time.
4. How we use information
We use the limited data above only to run and improve the site: to keep your preferences on your device, to understand which tools are useful, to keep our public averages current, and to keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Your rights and choices
- You can clear your saved scores and settings any time by clearing your browser's site data.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- If you are covered by the GDPR or CCPA, you may request access to, or deletion of, any personal data we hold about you by emailing us. Because we store so little, in most cases there is nothing tied to your identity to provide.
6. Children
ReactScore is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The test is safe for kids to play, but we do not gather data about them.
7. Third-party links
We link to outside sources and studies. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves, for example, when advertising is switched on. We will change the “last updated” date above when we do.
